Inside Lacrosse Power Poll
Rank Team W L Commentary
Johns Hopkins 1 0 9 first place votes. Escaped with 10-9 win against Penn. Princeton is next.
Syracuse 1 0 1 first place vote. Powell dropped 8 points on Army. What will he drop on the struggling 'Hoos.
Maryland 1 0 4 first place votes. Down year? Didn't look like that in a whippin' of G-Town on Sat. The young Dukies are next.
Princeton 1 0 Boyle and Doneger were unstoppable against the Q. Can the Hop stop them, or only hope to contain them.
North Carolina 1 0 1 first place vote. Big opening win against UMass. Now all the Heels need is consistency...and a win over Navy.
Rutgers 1 0 The Knights served notice last year was no fluke by smacking Dartmouth. They've got Delaware next.
Duke 1 0 We warned you. Frosh Danowski had 6 pts in win over UMBC. What will he do for an encore against VMI (Tu) and UMD (Sat).
Cornell 1 0 The Red running and gunning? That's what they did in a big win over Hofstra. A wounded G-Town awaits on Sat.
Virginia 1 2 Wow! Upset victims twice in one weekend. The Hoos drop 7 spots after L's to AF and Den. Uh oh, the Orange are next.
Loyola 1 0 The frosh, the transfers, the returners: everyone looked impressive for the Hounds on Sat. Will it continue against Hofstra.
Massachusetts 0 1 Four key injuries and a talented opponent led to a poor opening effort. Can they right the ship against Hart. (Wed) and SB (Sat).
Notre Dame 1 0 Statement: Irish drop 17 goals on Penn State. They're not sneaking up on anybody, especially not Cuse (Mar 11).
Georgetown 0 1 Hoyas took one on the chin to Terps. Cornell isn't going to be much easier. G-Town needs a quick fix.
Hofstra 0 1 The Pride were just a few steps behind Cornell in opener, but proved they belong. Now they need a W against Loyola.
Ohio State 1 1 Beating Navy was a big step in the right direction. On the road again against UMBC on Sat.
Denver 2 0 An undefeated weekend that included a 9-7 upset of UVA. Confidence is riding Mile High for the Pioneers.
Towson 0 1 Looked unimpressive in second half against Loyola. But should have a gimme against Providence on Sun.
Air Force 2 0 An epic upset over UVa followed by an 8-4 win over Vermont. Is the sky the limit for the Falcons?
Penn State 1 1 State has 12 goals in two games, which incidentally wouldn't have been enough against ND on Sat. At Fairfield on Sat.
Pennsylvania 0 1 Apparently a one-goal loss to Hopkins is enough to get you into the top 20. A W over Nova on Sat. will validate that.
