Maryland 8 0 11 first place votes. A unanimous No. 1, the Terps crushed Virginia and have fourth-ranked Navy next.

Johns Hopkins 6 1 Rebounded from 9-8 OT loss to UVa with gritty one-goal win over UNC. At struggling Duke on Saturday.

Syracuse 6 1 Had no problem with Hobart or prevfiously undefeated Brown thanks to Powell and Crockett. Loyola comes to the dome on Sat.

Navy 7 1 Maybe the hottest team in the country, Navy got another big win over ranked G-town. Big test this weekend against Terps.

Princeton 4 2 Coming off loss, Tigers handled Yale. Interesting in state matchup with Rutgers coming up.

North Carolina 5 3 One-goal loss to Hopkins is tough pill to swallow. But the Heels can hang with the best. Virginia's up on Sat.

Georgetown 5 2 Close games finally caught up to the Hoyas in loss to Navy. Can right the ship against Vermont on Saturday.

Army 6 2 With so many teams losing, Army's wins over Lafayette and Marist moved them up. Have Yale midweek.

Ohio State 7 2 All of a sudden OSU is a top ten team. Why? Because they beat two top ten teams. Butler is next on friday.

Duke 4 4 The Devils are showing their youth, now at .500 after loss to OSU. Doesn't get easier with JHU next.

Brown 6 1 Had a tough go against visting Cuse. But Brown is by no means out of it. At Yale on Saturday.
Virginia 3 5 The Cavs are in a hole again after getting plastered by Maryland. A loss to UNC on Sat. could spell doom.
Towson 3 3 Tied for 13th. Frosh Engelke dropped eight goals on Virginia. He's got a chance to do more damage against Sacred Heart and the Mount.
Delaware 8 2 Tied for 13th. 12-10 win over Hofstra is big win for the streaking Hens. Another test with Villanova on Sat.
Cornell 4 2 The Red took one on the chin to Ivy rival Penn. Will need to rebound quickly on road against Harvard.
Rutgers 5 2 Broke a two game skid with 3OT win over Fairfield. Thouugh didn't help the ranking. Princeton is up on Sat.
Notre Dame 3 4 Tied for 16th. Took a loss to surging Ohio State. But rebounded to smack Dartmouth. The ill-fated AF/Denver road trip is next.
Denver 5 2 Took down Harvard in a big way. Denver needs another big win to establish tourney resumer. Could get it against ND on Friday.
Massachusetts 5 4 The Tundo brothers combined for 10 points in rout of Penn State. Need to avoid letdown in Friday night game against Manhattan.
Loyola 3 3 Needed two late goals to comeback and beat Quinnipiac. Can't afford to do that against Cuse on Sat.
