1 Virginia 3 0 The Wahoos take over the top spot in the poll this week after 10-7 win over Princeton, their second consecutive against a top 5 opponent. Senior midfielder Chris Rotelli scored four goals against the Tigers and was named Warrior/IL Player of the Week.
2 Johns Hopkins 2 0 Though the Jays slip a spot to #2 this week, they picked up a convincing win over Penn Saturday. Sophomore attackman Kyle Barrie tallied 5 goals and an assist in the Blue Jay victory.
3 Syracuse 1 1 The Orangemen were idle this weekend, but they’ll return to action Monday against Farfield.
4 Maryland 2 0 On the strength of four goals from freshman attackman Joe Walters, the Terps moved to 2-0 with a 12-8 win over Towson. They’ll lace ‘em up again when Bucknell visits College Park on Tuesday.
5 Princeton 0 2 The Tigers slipped to #5 after a 10-7 loss to Virginia, their second consecutive against a top 5 opponent. They’ll look to get in the win column when they visit Hofstra next weekend.
6 Georgetown 2 0 After trailing at halftime, the Hoyas rallied to defeat an upstart Penn State team 11-9. They’ll travel to UMBC next weekend as they look to remain unbeaten.
7 Massachusetts 3 0 The Minutemen picked up a huge conference victory against Navy on Saturday. Next up is a road contest with Brown.
8 Duke 4 1 The Blue Devils rebounded nicely from a loss at Maryland with wins this week over VMI and Loyola. They’ll look to improve to 5-1 Tuesday in a nonconference matchup with Lehigh
9 Notre Dame 3 0 The Fighting Irish improved to 3-0 with a 10-8 road win at North Carolina. If they’re planning on staying unbeaten, however, they’ll have to take down top-ranked Virginia Tuesday afternoon
10 Navy 3 1 The Mids suffered a heartbreaking loss on the road against Umass Saturday but will look to get back on track next weekend in a key ECAC matchup with unbeaten Rutgers.
11 Loyola 3 1 The Greyhounds suffered their first loss of the season at Duke on Saturday. Next up for Loyola is a road matchup at Notre Dame.
12 Hofstra 0 1 The Pride dropped their season opener at Loyola but will look to even their record Tuesday against Binghamton
13 North Carolina 1 2 The Heels suffered their second consecutive loss last weekend against Notre Dame but can even their record at 2-2 in a midweek matchup Wednesday at Ohio State.
14 Penn State 1 2 The Lions gave 6th-ranked Georgetown a tough game Saturday before falling 11-9. They’ll face Yale on Tuesday.
15 Rutgers 5 0 The Scarlet Knights defeated Albany Saturday to move to 5-0 for the first time since 1956. They’ll face a major test this weekend against 10th ranked Navy.
16 Cornell 0 2 The Big Red dropped their second straight to Hofstra this weekend. They’ll look to get back in the win column when they host Canisuis on Tuesday.
17 Towson 1 2 The Tigers suffered their second defeat of the season against a tough Maryland squad on Saturday. Things don’t get easier, though - the Tigers travel to Virginia next weekend to take on the top-ranked Cavaliers.
18 Brown 1 0 The Bears' were to play Fairfield Saturday, but the contest was postponed due to inclement weather. They'll return to action next weekend when they face 8th-ranked UMass.
19 Yale 1 0 The Bulldogs were idle last weekend but will be tested Tuesday when they face off against 14th-ranked Penn State
20 Army 2 1 The Cadets picked up a big win over Air Force Saturday in 2OT. Next up for Army is a road matchup with Holy Cross.
