Pollster Comments

Salisbury: Upcoming showdown with Gettysburg will tell all. (D-III) — Bullets come to town Saturday. Big test for the #1 team. (minkhoo) — Previous rankings keep them ahead of a powerful Whittier team for the time being. (moty9) — Only team that can match Whittier? (The Professional) — Still impressive! (valaxfan)

Whittier: Their season is effectively over; now they have the advantage or disadvantage, depending on how you look at it, of watching all the action from the sidelines. (D-III) — Set the snooze alarm for May. (minkhoo) — No one can say Whittier has not earned respect. Let's see if they can make a better run at it this year. (moty9) — Might be unstoppable this season. (The Professional) — They are at the door step, with one foot in; the other foot is ready. Loaded team. (valaxfan)

Middlebury: Lost on the road by a goal in a quagmire. Regrouped nicely against Wesleyan. Biggest game of the season this weekend against Amherst. (D-III) — Tough loss in the mud, but still a good shot to four-peat. (minkhoo) — The mighty have fallen. (moty9) — Still early. (The Professional) — Tough loss at Gburg. (valaxfan)

Gettysburg: One thing is for sure, this team will be battle tested come tournament time. (D-III) — Got to hand it to the Bullets, they play the toughest schedule in D3. Too bad they don't have a quality field to play on. (minkhoo) — I don't think Gettysburg has the ability to take it all the way this year. (moty9) — Up and down. Not eough "O" when it is said and done. (The Professional) — They win, they lose; what a year so far in DIII: parity. (valaxfan)

Hampden-Sydney: Great comeback on the road against Maroons. (minkhoo) — Big loss to a strong Whittier team. (moty9) — Always dangerous. (The Professional) — Tought loss then big road win. (valaxfan)

Cortland: We will finally learn what this team is made of as they face Naz, Hartiwck, Ithaca, and RIT in a row. (D-III) — Dragons seem to be back on track, but they have a tough stretch of games over the next 10 days. (minkhoo) — Tough team. Could be the playoff sleeper. (The Professional) — Playing much better now. (valaxfan)

Ithaca: How good are these guys? Undistinguished early schedule, loss to a top D2 school on road. Still a question mark to me. (minkhoo) — Tough loss to NYIT. (valaxfan)

St. Lawrence: They just keep on winning. (minkhoo) — Not much of a schedule since the Cortland and Bowdoin games, but still undefeated! (moty9) — Gaining. (valaxfan)

Franklin & Marshall: Contender in Cenntennial? WAC at home next week will tell the story. (minkhoo) — Hmmmm... (The Professional) — Winning but not the big scores I would have expected. Tough team. (valaxfan)

Washington College: On a roll after losing their first two games of the season. Look to quiet upstart F&M this week. (D-III) — Shoremen win a much needed biggie. (minkhoo) — Huge win over Gettysburg. (moty9) — Play well in Chestertown, but not going anywhere. (The Professional) — Big win over Gburg. (valaxfan)

Ohio Wesleyan: Bishops MAY be a great team, but this is based on one "close loss" rather than quality wins. Can't prove it until tourney time. (minkhoo) — Probably not as good as ranking. (The Professional)

Roanoke: W&L win was nice, but other close losses really don't help. (minkhoo) — Nobody wants to play them this year. Capable of beating anyone on a given day. Best attackman in D3. (The Professional) — Tough loss to Poets, played them well for 3 Qtrs, and HSC. (valaxfan)

Washington & Lee: Still not hitting on all cylinders. (minkhoo) — Solid D, no offense. (The Professional) — They are on a streak, two in a row, with big ODAC games coming and traditional rivalry game with VMI this week. (valaxfan)

McDaniel: Somewhere along the line they will play an elite team. Then we will see if there is reason to fear the Green Terror. (minkhoo) — Gotta play someone. (The Professional)

Rensselaer: A stumble against Hartwick; next three games will be a tough stretch. (minkhoo)

Nazareth: Inconsistent. Cortland coming to town Wednesday will be a big test. (minkhoo)

Lynchburg: Tough loss to W&L; had a lot of wild shots not on goal; still a chance in the ODAC tourney to make up ground after they play the remaining conference games. (valaxfan)

Clarkson: They keep winning. (minkhoo) — Big win this week over RPI. (moty9)

Amherst: Can the Lord Jeffs challenge the Panthers? (minkhoo)

Hartwick: Looks like Hawks will be a serious competitor in E8. (minkhoo)

Virginia Wesleyan: Fairytale start comes to a halt with the ODAC big four on the schedule. (D-III) — Nice start for Marlins. They now must run the gauntlet of the top 4 in the ODAC. (minkhoo)
