Mustangs Corral #1 Ranking

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo regained possession of #1 for this ranking period, earning the unanimous consensus of the 2003 ranking committee.  The Mustangs defeated then #1 UCLA on March 1 and have improved to 13-1 on the season.
While the top three teams in the country swap places, Michigan #4 continues to impress the committee with its strong play. UC Santa Barbara, on the other hand, fell out of the Top 5 to #9.  The Gauchos have struggled recently against several opponents, including a recent loss to then #12 Arizona.
Several ranked teams have yet to play due to the severe weather conditions that have plagued the eastern seaboard.  So expect many of those teams to rise or fall depending on their performance.
Three teams make their first appearance of the season to the Top 20: Texas Tech at #16, Arizona State at #18, and Rhode Island at #20.
