Discussion set for Charlotte mecklenberg
Schools recognition of lacrosse as varsity sport
The Charlotte Lacrosse Boosters will hold a open member
meeting on Wednesday February 18 @ 7:00 PM in the Smith
Center at Charlotte Country Day. The purpose of the meeting
will be to address several ongoing issues that continue
to hinder the growth of lacrosse in the Charlotte area.
Several area high school coaches will make presentations
on the need for:
+field space
+CMS recognition of lacrosse as a varsity sport
+funding for disadvantaged students
+better coverage in local media
We'll also annouce the CLB's plans for the upcoming
season including Charlotte's premier lacrosse event,
the 6th annual Queen City Top 50 and our upcoming 2004
CLB BBQ. If you would like to get more involved in supporting
the growth of Charlotte lacrosse please make plans to
attend this meeting. Non-members interested in joining
the CLB are cordially invited.
