Neal Watterson and William Hendricks
named US Lacrosse High School All Americans in North Carolina May 26, 2004
Defensemen Neal Watterson of Charlotte Country Day and
William Hendricks of Providence High School received US
Lacrosse All-American recognition. Watterson a senior
led the NCISAA champion Bucs in ground balls with 179
and 596 in his career the best ever in school history.
According to head coach Brad Touma, Watterson was an excellent
defensive player and his "best face-off man ever".
Hendricks a junior is the CHSCLC's first ever All-American
and was the league's "player of the year" for
2004. Says head Coach William Humphrey of Hendricks, "I
believe that William is one of the most dominant players
in North Carolina and fortunately so do some of our opponents.
The Providence Panthers are extremely thankful for the
opportunities, recognition and support of the NCHSLA teams
who we have played for honoring one of our players".
Both Watterson and Hendricks are finalists for CLB "Player
of the Year" and will play in the Queen City Top
50 on June 4.
