Ryan Wade on Developing A Hard
Shot
Ryan, You are such a great shooter, with time or on
the run. What makes your shot so hard?
Shooting is one of the skills that you can definitely
improve on. The whole key to improving your shot is
to shoot on goal as often as possible. My brother and
I used to spend hours on the wall and shooting on the
cage each day. If you really want to improve your shot,
get a bucket of balls (20 - 30), go out to the field
and shoot until you cannot shoot anymore. Next day do
it again. Always, always, always practice shooting on
the run. You will get 5 shots on the run for every shot
that you get standing still. Other things you can do
is to practice screening your stick with your body and
deciding where you are going to shoot - be sure that
the goalie is not looking directly at your stick before
you shoot. The more you practice, the better you will
shoot, the more goals you will score, the more you will
get in the paper, the more girls you will get. Simple.
